It’s the collaboration that fans have been quietly willing into existence for years. This summer, two of South Africa’s most distinctive musical forces finally share the same stage again as Arno Carstens and Albert Frost meet again for Summer Rain - a bespoke, carefully curated live experience that reflects on three decades of songwriting, friendship, and creative cross-pollination.
Carstens and Frost’s musical bond stretches back what they describe as a lifetime. Frost was principal guitarist and co-writer on two pivotal Arno Carstens albums - Another Universe and The Hello Goodbye Boys - records that marked a defining chapter in Carstens’ post-Springbok Nude Girls evolution. The years surrounding those releases were filled with memorable performances and long tours, moments that quietly cemented a musical chemistry that has endured well beyond the stage.
